Sometimes in my mind I still call her Emily, the Emily in the early days of school that existed only in the hours of class along with the rest of my classmates, the Emily of an insubstantial idea imprinted in my head. In the flurry of so many new names and new faces I found myself singling her out and calling her Emily instead, the Emily I immediately wanted to be friends with. When I found out she blogs I wanted even more to know her.
Three months of being classmates later Emily has almost disappeared, and in her place now there is a real person I call a friend. Her name is Michelle.
